Thank you for reaching out with your question. Many of us have questions in relation to our bodies and growing up so you are not alone in wanting to know some things. 

It sounds like you’re wondering when you will develop breasts.  

Breasts usually develop for girls when they go through puberty. Puberty happens at different times for everyone and it’s something that everybody goes through. It’s normal for us to compare ourselves to others, but it’s important to remember that some changes to our bodies can happen at different times to the changes taking place for our friends. 

You could read some of the advice provided on our website, such as this article https://www.childline.ie/my-body/ which will give you more information about our bodies and some of the changes we might go through during puberty. If you are worried about something to do with your body, you have the right to get some medical advice by contacting your GP. Speaking to an adult you trust can also be helpful, someone such as a parent, teacher or youth worker that you know and feel comfortable confiding in.
