Answer

Hi, welcome to Ask Alex. Thank you for reaching out to us.

You are asking how to deal with a breakup and bullying at the same time. We are very sorry to hear you are going through this. Breakups can be really difficult, and no one has the right to bully you.

Have you tried talking to a trusted adult about what is going on for you? This adult could be a parent, aunt, uncle, neighbour, teacher or youth worker.  Don’t try and deal with a breakup or bullying alone, you will feel more confident dealing with things if you have good support around you.

It can be difficult to talk about bullying; if you find it too difficult or too frightening, ask a friend to support you and be with you when you talk to an adult or a person in authority about what is happening to you. You could also write down what is happening and leave it on a teacher’s desk or give it to a trusted adult.
