Bullying can be targeted at a person for many different reasons.

Being bullied is never your fault

A bully might make you feel as though there is something wrong with you, but this is not the case. You have a right to be you.

Types of bullying

Homophobic

Homophobic bullying happens when bullies treat others badly because of how they view their sexual orientation.

Racist

Racist bullying happens when somebody is targeted because of their skin colour, culture, religious background or where they come from. Racist bullying can involve personal attacks, racist graffiti and / or racist jokes and name-calling.

Disablist

Disablist bullying is targeted at a person who has a disability. If you have a physical, learning or other disability, your school and teachers can support you.

Religious

Religious bullying is bullying targeted at a person because of their faith or religion. This could involve making fun of a person or disrespecting them.

Nobody has the right to bully others

If you are being bullied, if you see bullying at your school or club, or if you have been involved in bullying and would like to change, you can get support.
