Why do I prefer school to home
Why do I find school better than home? I’m so stressed out even though my parents cheer me up,.my room is so messy and I feel like every time everything is good one thing happens and boom, I feel horribly low and then good again it’d just horrible bc my mom always tries to do her best.
Thanks so much for your question and reaching out to us here at Ask Alex.
It sounds like you’ve been feeling low and this is especially true when you’re at home, We’re sorry to hear you’re feeling like this. It also sounds like you feel a bit better at school.
What do you think makes school different? It’s important you know you have the right to feel happy and safe no matter where you are. You say you feel stressed out at home and your parents try to cheer you up. Would you be able to talk to your parents about how you’re feeling? Sometimes it can be hard to share what’s going on for you and you’ve been brave to share how you’ve been feeling with us.
Everyone has days where they don’t feel like themselves. It’s okay to sometimes feel down, upset, low or fed up but the key word is sometimes. If you find that you’re having more sad days than happy days, it’s not okay to stay that way. You deserve to live a happy life and deserve to be supported in this. You have the right to medical help too, should you need it.
