Alex's Answer

What can I talk to Childline about?

Your Question

I’m worried that what I want to talk to childlike about isn’t actually something that needs to talk about. What can I talk to you about?

Answer

Hi there and welcome to Ask Alex.

Thank you for reaching out to us with your thoughts. You have asked what can you talk to Childline about and this is a great question! Childline’s main purpose is to give young people a safe space to talk. Childline is a support service for all children and young people up to the age of 18 in Ireland. We aim to empower, support, and protect young people like you every day.

You don’t have to have a problem to get in touch with Childline.  You can talk to us in confidence about anything that may be on your mind, nothing is too big or too small. We would love to hear about your pets, your favourite T.V. shows or what you love about your friends. We are here to listen to the heavier stuff too, break-ups, bullying, trouble at home and we will never judge or tell you what to do.

Remember, you can get in contact 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year by calling our phone service on 1800 66 66 66 or if you prefer to chat with us, you can go to our website at www.childline.ie and use the live chat function, by clicking on the Orange Tab on the right-hand side of your screen.

Take Care,
