Firstly, we want to say that it takes a lot of courage to reach out and share something so difficult. We want you to know that you are not alone in feeling this way. Feeling like your mom hates you can be incredibly painful and confusing, especially when you’re supposed to feel loved and supported by your family. It’s important to recognise that your feelings are valid, and it’s ok to feel hurt by your mom’s actions or words.

 

It’s also important to remember that sometimes, people’s behaviours are a reflection of their own struggles and issues, rather than a reflection of your worth as a person. It’s possible that your mom is dealing with her own challenges or emotions that are causing her to behave in hurtful ways. That doesn’t make it ok, but it might help to understand that her behaviour is not a reflection of your value as a person.

 

It’s essential to have someone to talk to about what you’re going through. Whether it’s a trusted family member, friend, teacher, or school counsellor, reaching out to someone you trust can provide you with the support and guidance you need. Sometimes, talking to a trusted adult can help you through difficult situations and find healthy ways to cope with your feelings.
