Pretty self conscious about this

Your Question

One of my breasts is droopier than the other now because I didn’t wear a bra the other day and was moving around a lot. I’m pretty self conscious about this now is there anyway to fix it?

Answer

Hi there, welcome to Ask Alex!

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. It’s completely normal to feel self-conscious about changes in your body, and we want to assure you that what you’re experiencing is something many people go through. Bodies develop and change in unique ways, and it’s ok to feel unsure about these changes.

It’s important to know that not wearing a bra for a day, even if you were very active, is unlikely to cause a significant or permanent change in your breast shape. Breasts naturally have some differences in size and shape, and slight asymmetry is very common. This is a normal part of human anatomy and nothing to be worried about.

If you’re feeling self-conscious, there are a few things you can do to help. Wearing a well-fitting bra can provide support and create a more balanced appearance. If you’re unsure about your bra size, many shops offer fitting services to help you find the best fit. Additionally, practicing good posture can also help improve how you feel about yourself.

Remember, confidence comes from accepting and loving yourself as you are. Focusing on your overall health and well-being can make a big difference in how you perceive yourself. However, if these feelings of self-consciousness persist, talking to a trusted adult, such as a parent or school counsellor, can provide additional support.
