I need your help

Answer

Welcome to Ask Alex,

We are here to help you you. It takes courage to reach out for help, well done for doing so. Remember, asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

There are also many support services available to provide guidance and assistance. You could consider talking to a school counsellor who is trained to offer support and can provide you with a safe space to discuss your concerns. Additionally, reaching out to a trusted adult, like a teacher, family member, or coach, can also offer support and comfort.

Online platforms, like mental health websites can provide you with a wealth of information and the opportunity to connect with others who might be experiencing similar challenges like you are. Many of these platforms offer resources, advice, and stories that can help you feel less alone. Some of these organisations are jigsaw.ie/;
www2.hse.ie/mental-health/; pieta.ie. There is also an article on the Childline website which may help guide you in the right direction www.childline.ie/not-sure-how-to-ask-for-help-heres-what-to-do/

Remember, you’re not alone in this. If you’re ever in a situation where you need immediate support or just someone to talk to, we are waiting for here at Childline. We are available 24/7 to provide a listening ear and explore what support you need and where you can get it. It’s important to prioritise your well-being, and seeking support is a significant step in that direction. Our freephone number is 1800 66 66 66 or you can use our Live Chat webchat service on our website, by clicking on the orange Live Chat tab.

We hope to hear from you real soon, mind yourself,

Alex
