Firstly, welcome to Ask Alex one of the many Childline services for young people. We’re truly sorry to hear that you were hoping for someone to talk to and you felt you were talking with a bot instead. It must have been frustrating and disappointing, especially when you were looking for support.

Please know that your feelings are completely valid, and we understand how important it is to have someone to listen to you during tough times. We want to apologise sincerely for not being able to provide the human connection you were hoping for.

We want to let you know that the Ask Alex service, along with the Childline phone and Live Chat services are all services where you can talk to real humans who are here to listen and support you. Our team of real people are dedicated to helping young people like yourself.
