There can be different reason for young people to think about leaving home.

Most people will leave home at some point in their lives and live separately from their parents. Some people leave when they are young, others when they are older and some people live at home for their whole lives. There can be different reason for young people to think about leaving home.

Sometimes home is not a safe place for a person to live and this is why they leave.  If home is not a safe place for you, you have the right to get help and support. Every young person has the right to live in a place that is safe.

If you’re thinking of leaving home it might be a good idea to think about all the reasons why you want to move out. You will also need to think about what you will need in order to do that safely.
