I don't want to be like others, I want to be different

Your Question

Why can’t I be different? So many people want to be like other kids but I don’t. I want to be different. Wear cool things, show that I’m Christian, and that I’m different in most ways. But I always end up like a normal kid. Just like others. If I say I’m different then people will call me a “pick-me girl” and say I’m girly. But that’s exactly it! I’m not! So many girls claim to be tomboys that I can’t even claim to be one. but I hate being girly! Icantfind things to do that most girls dont. I guess surfing is one since my friends say surfing is cool. Although 2 of my friends can surf aswell. So I don’t know.and at surf camp I see a lot of girls. So I guess I’m not different after all.. But I want to be! I just can’t figure out how.. I want people to look at me and think: “shes the one who owns the kids Christian community club! I should ask her if I can join” or ” I love her outfit! Everyone is always wearing the same things it’s nice to see a change” or something like ” she sings so well! I bet she did a lot of practice to be good.” But yeah. Also I don’t have a Christian kids club yet but I might create one. But anyways, I CANT BE DIFFERENT!

You mentioned that you want to be different. What it is about being different that is most important to you? Every one of us is different in a variety of ways, we all look different, and all have different personalities.
 
It’s totally okay to want to express yourself in your own special way. Being different doesn’t necessarily mean doing something unique that nobody else does. It’s about staying true to yourself and doing things that make you happy.
 
If you want to show that you’re Christian and wear cool things, that sounds like a great idea! You can find unique ways to do that, like choosing outfits that feel special to you and sharing your beliefs with kindness. It’s okay if you have friends who also surf or like similar things. Being different is not about being completely separate from everyone else; it’s about embracing what makes you unique.
 
Dreaming of creating a Christian kids club is a fantastic idea! Have you considered discussing this with your parents?
 
Remember, it’s not about being completely different from others, but about being the best version of yourself. Follow your interests, and you’ll shine in your own way. Don’t worry too much about labels or what others might say. Just be yourself, as that’s what makes you truly special.
