You are asking how to adopt children and that is a very interesting question.  

We think it is important that you first know that to adopt in Ireland you must be over the age of 21. There are a variety of adoptions types and you can find more information from www.tusla.ie/adoption/ 

Adoption can be a very complex process as there are multiple steps involved with it. Adoption can therefore bring up some complex feelings and as Ask Alex and Childline are services for children and young people. We wonder if you may wish to speak more about how children are adopted if this is something you are thinking about for a friend or yourself. Have you spoken to someone else about this before?
