Answer

Hi there, we’re As Alex, and we’re here to help you with your question.

First of all, I want to say that it’s really brave of you to reach out and talk about what you’re experiencing. It’s important to remember that you’re not alone, and many people go through similar feelings, especially when dealing with conditions like OCD.

We understand that you’re dealing with Harm OCD, which can be really distressing. Those intrusive thoughts you mentioned can be really scary, but it’s very important to remember that these thoughts don’t define who you are. It’s a part of your condition, and you can learn to cope with them.

One important step is to talk to a trusted adult about what you’re going through. Sharing your feelings with someone you trust can provide you with much-needed support and guidance. Don’t hesitate to lean on those around you; they care about your well-being.

Additionally, there’s an organization called Pieta.ie that can provide support specifically for those dealing with self-harm and suicidal thoughts. They have trained professionals who can offer guidance and assistance.

If you ever feel like you can’t talk to someone you know just yet, you can always reach out to the Childline Team. We’re available 24/7, and you can contact us at 1800 66 66 66 or through Live Chat at www.Childline.ie. Remember, this service is non-judgmental and confidential.
