Answer

Hi there, you are very welcome to Ask Pat .

You say you have concerns for a child in an abusive bullying home. We thank you for your concern for this child and you did the right thing in contacting us. Every child has the right to be happy and to be safe. We would be very concerned for any child that is in an abusive/bullying situation.

If you feel any child is in immediate danger you can contact the Gardaí or your local Tusla office.  Alternatively, ISPCC have a dedicated service for adults who have a concern for a child or young person. This support line is open Monday – Friday 9:00am – 1:00pm. You will find the number on the ISPCC’s website www.ispcc.ie/our-services/

Childline are always here to listen and support the young person, if you would like to give them our details. They can contact us confidentially on any of our 24 hour services for free, by phone 1800 66 66 66; by text 50101; by web chat www.childline.ie

Once again, thank you for your diligence in this situation

We wish you well,

Pat
