You are asking can children contact Childline by e-mail. The answer to that is no, as using email is not confidential because we would have your email address. However, there are several ways for young people 18 years and younger to contact the Team at Childline.

You can call us by phone at 1800 66 66 66. Our phone service is open 24 hours a day, every day. This service is free and confidential. We do not trace calls or use caller ID, so it is a safe way for young people to talk about whatever is going on for them in confidence.

You can text us at 50101. Here, you can have a confidential chat by text, which is also free and open 24 hours. We do not use phone ID.

Or if you prefer to have a web chat with us, you an do so through www.childline.ie . Like our phone and text services, our web chat is free, confidential, and open 24 hours. We do not trace IP addresses.
