You have asked some very important questions regarding confidentiality here at Childline. It’s great that you reached out to us so that you can be informed about our service and feel safe making use of it.

Childline is safe space for young people to talk about whatever is on their minds. When you register for the text or web service you will be providing certain information such as a nickname, age, and gender in order to register. You will have a username and password so that you can continue to chat  with Childline whenever you want. This also applies to your contact with us via phone call and text. We do not see what you type before sending a message on our web chat. Childline is a confidential space for you to get in touch and chat about what’s going on for you.
