Answer

Hey there, and welcome to Ask Pat. Thanks for reaching out and sharing your thoughts.

It sounds like you’re wondering what would happen if you failed your exams. Exams and exam years can be very stressful and it’s understandable why you would be thinking about this. It’s important that you feel prepared and ready for exams; there are some tips on homework and revision that you might find useful which can be found here: https://www.childline.ie/education-and-work/. Failing exams can bring up lots of different emotions and feelings. Do you think you could speak to a teacher or staff member at your school you trust about your concerns?

You also say you have no one to chat too about this right now. We understand that it can be difficult to open up and talk about our feelings, but it can be really helpful to speak to someone you trust. It’s important for you to know that you’re not alone. Childline is here to listen to your thoughts and feelings and we can help you to explore the options available if you need some support. Our service is confidential, non-judgmental and available 24hours a day, 7days a week. You can contact Childline on 1800 66 66 66, text 50101 or chat online www.childline.ie.

Thanks again for getting in touch with us. If you’d like to talk some more about your thoughts, we would love to hear from you.

Take care,

Pat
