Welcome to Ask Pat,

It seems like you are asking should you kill yourself. Childline are very sorry that you are feeling this way and we would be very concerned that you are asking this question. You are very brave contacting us, and you have the right to be heard.

We are always really concerned if a young person writes about wanting to kill themselves. Young people have the right to support to help them understand themselves and how they feel.

It sounds like you might be going through a very difficult time. There are services available to support you such as www.pieta.ie if you feel ready to contact them. You may also find useful information on the website run by HSE www.yourmentalhealth.ie. 

Childline are here to listen to you without judgement and to explore with you the options that you feel may help you to work out what is making you feel so low. We would believe that talking makes us stronger. Talking helps people to reach out and get the support that is there.

Our Childline website has further information that you may find helpful. In the section ‘Info and Advice’ there are articles about ‘How I feel’, you might find it useful to see what information is there.
