Why doesn't the webchat work at certain times?
Why always at 4am for hours later that the chat doesn’t work and it say’s no one is available do you close at certain times

You are wondering why the Childline chat service is not always working from 4am in the morning and why its saying that there is no one available to chat with you. Also, you’d like to know if Childline closes at certain times.
Childline services never close and we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These are free and confidential. Childline is for all children and young people up to the age of 18 in Ireland.
You can talk with Childline in confidence, about anything that might be on your mind, and we won’t judge you, give out to you or tell you what to do. We’re here to listen and we’ll help you to figure out the best solution for you.
We have been experiencing difficulty with our text service recently, and this is mentioned on the website. We hope to have this sorted out soon!
