Answer

Hello, you’re welcome to Ask Alex.

You’ve told us that time seems to be going quick every day for some people and its always when you have free time from school that the holidays just seem to go like that. You are asking us what would be a way to spend time wisely on your holidays from school.

Firstly, we want to agree with you that time seems to go by quickly every day. Have you ever heard the phrase “time flies when you’re having fun”?! This can be especially true of holidays as holidays are meant to be enjoyed. You could say the purpose of holidays is for recreation, and feeling refreshed for going back to school.

You have said that you would like to spend time wisely on holidays. This shows you are motivated to make the most out of your holidays and you asking this question is a good start doing just that. It may help looking at what “spending time wisely” means to you. Maybe you are a creative type and like making things; you could try baking, writing, creating a piece of art or you could be into physical activities such as swimming, horse riding or tennis. Perhaps you are more of a social person so the holidays are a good time to meet people you haven’t caught up with in a while. You might set aside some part of the day for social media or watching your favourite TV show. Maybe now is the time to take up a hobby that you never even imagined yourself doing. You could surprise yourself with how much you enjoy something new!

I hope this helps you.
