Answer

Hey there! Welcome to Ask Alex.

It’s great that you’re curious about art therapy! Art therapy is a form of therapy that uses creative expression, like drawing, painting, or sculpting, as a way to help people explore and communicate their feelings. It’s not specifically about helping kids who are colour blind; instead, it’s a way for people of all ages to express themselves and work through emotions or issues they might be facing. So, you don’t need to worry about colour blindness in this context.

If you’re interested in becoming an art therapist, it means you have a passion for both art and helping others. Art therapists use different art techniques to assist people in understanding and coping with their emotions, which can be especially helpful for kids who may find it challenging to express themselves verbally.

Remember, it’s okay to feel confused about this career path at your age. If you’re in Ireland and need more information about becoming an art therapist, you can reach out to careersportal.ie. They provide support and information for young people like you who are exploring their future paths.
