Answer
Hi there, you are very welcome to ask pat.
You say that you are self harming in the bathroom in school and are wondering what would happen if you got caught by a teacher or student.
Childline would be very concerned that you are self harming and you would have the right to get help and support and there are services that are available to you, if and when you feel ready to get help.
You have a right to be happy and be supported while you are in school and it does not sound like you are safe from what you are telling us.
If a teacher saw that you were self harming they would have a duty of care towards you and would have to pass that information on so that you would get help.
Perhaps you would like to chat a little about what is going on for you. Our phone lines are open 24 hours a day on 1800 666 666 and we would be here to offer support and to explore with you what services/supports are available to you. Childline would never judge you.
We wish you well and thank you for contacting us.
