Answer

You’re very welcome to Ask Alex.

So here we will jump right in. We are so sorry to hear that you want “to kill yourself” that you feel nothing is getting better for you. We really hope that you are still here to see this message.

You are not alone. We hear you and we want you to have the support you need, and you deserve. Can we just thank you for reaching out, it was a very brave step and something that maybe shows that there might be a slight chance that you want to still be here and get support.

You must be in a very dark place, if the only thing that you feel can help you is by ending your life. You deserve more than that. Your life means something. There is so much value in it and although it may be hard to see that right now, it doesn’t mean it’s not true. It will take work and support, but you have that strength deep within.

You don’t want to take away that chance, that opportunity; because once that door is closed, there is no coming back. Taking your own life not only takes you away from life but is one that will have an impact on so many others, people you may have never thought it would impact.

This message here is the first step and the next one is to link with your GP or medical professional to seek the proper support. It is vital that you contact the emergency services if you ever find yourself in immediate danger or risk of danger call 112 or 999.
