Alex's Answer
My parents make me feel bad
Your Question
What do I do at times when my parents bring me down even if I’m feeling bad myself and and shout at me and don’t know when to stop?

Welcome to Ask Alex, a safe space where you can look for guidance and support.
It’s perfectly okay to feel overwhelmed when your parents bring you down, especially when you’re already going through a tough time yourself. Well done on reaching out to us today.
Your emotions matter, and it’s natural to be affected by your parents’ actions. You’re not alone in this, and it’s great that you are getting in touch with us.
One way to cope with this situation is to talk to a trusted adult, like a teacher, counsellor, or another family member. Sharing your feelings with someone you trust can be a big source of support.
Looking after your mental health is very important. You have the right to get medical help should you feel you need to. You can visit your GP and also have a look at jigsaw.ie.
