Please know that you are not defined by what others say about you, especially if those words are hurtful and untrue. You are intelligent, capable, and deserve respect and kindness. Sometimes, parents might say hurtful things out of frustration or because they’re dealing with their own issues, but that doesn’t excuse their behaviour or make it okay. It’s important to find ways to cope with these feelings and remember your own worth.
