Loss & Death
What is loss, what is death?

Loss and death can mean something different to everyone.

Loss and death can mean something different to everyone. It may be the loss of a friend from your life or of your favourite possession. Death may be when someone in your life passes away, or if a pet you love dies. Sometimes people die of old age and sometimes younger people die. A person might get really sick or die suddenly, like in an accident. Loss and death can happen at anytime in someone’s life and there are many different feelings that this can bring up for you.

You also may not feel anything at all or you may feel like crying and that's ok.

You might want to ask about some things you don’t understand, like where people go after they die. It’s important for you to have someone you can talk to about these things. You may have many other questions about the different feelings that you have when something like this happens. You have a right to talk about this with someone that you trust and feel will listen and support you.
