I need some information on homeless services

The following are organisations that you might find interesting. They have different sorts of information on what it means to be homeless and are all based in Ireland. 
 
Focus Ireland (call 01 881 5900) has worked in housing and homelessness since 1985. Focus Ireland offer services to people in Dublin, Cork, Waterford, Limerick, Sligo, and Kilkenny.
 
Crosscare (call 01 836 0011) work in the Dublin area and offer service to those affected by homelessness and they also try to meet the needs of young people in the work that they do.
 
The Salvation Army extends a helping hand to those who are homeless, friendless and in need. They have 3 Centres in Dublin and there is more information about them on their website.
 
The Simon Community (call 01 671 1606) work in lots of areas throughout Ireland with people experiencing, or in danger of experiencing, homelessness, providing services and support to those who need it most.
 
Society of St Vincent De Paul (call 01 703 6100) operate 17 hostels nationwide as well as breakfast clubs, youth clubs, and summer holiday programmes. Their homeless agency will provide names of hostels.
