I don't feel safe at home

No one has the right to hurt you in any way.

You have the right to feel safe and happy at home. No one has the right to hurt you in any way.

If you feel like someone at home is hurting you, or you are feeling bad about the way that they make you feel, you have the right to tell someone. You have the right to talk to a trusted adult or friend to get support and help to keep you safe. It’s important to know it’s not your fault and no one should be hurt by another person.  You may have mixed thoughts and feelings about what is happening. We believe that you always have the right to talk it over with someone who can listen, believe what you're saying and respect you.

You might be afraid to tell anyone, but it is your right to talk about it and if you want to talk, Childline is a free phone call and we don’t have caller ID.  We will never tell anyone about your call unless you want us to and tell us where you are. The phone line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week  and the number is 1800 666 666. You can talk to us by text on our Teentxt service and this is open 10am-4am daily, all you have to do is text the word ‘Talk’ to 50101. Alternatively you can chat to us live on the One to One facility on our website.
