Sometimes a person with anorexia nervosa will control their body weight by fasting, exercising excessively or with other weight control measures like diet pills or diuretic drugs.
 
     
Anorexia nervosa is a condition that describes an eating disorder characterised by low body weight and a distorted body image. A person with anorexia is determined to reach a body weight lower than normal for their age, sex, and height. Sometimes a person with anorexia nervosa will control their body weight by fasting, exercising excessively or with other weight control measures like diet pills or diuretic drugs. 
 
It can affect boys and girls and people of any age and is a really difficult condition to understand, for both the person involved and their family & friends.
