If you think someone you know has been abused

If you think that someone you know might have been abused, you should talk to an adult that you trust.

If you think that someone you know might have been abused, you should talk to an adult that you trust and tell them why you think that the person has been abused. You might have witnessed the person being harmed by someone else, or they may have told you that they have been abused. If they have told you that they are being abused, you should encourage them to get help from an adult that they trust. You might even like to tell them about Childline if you think that it might help them to talk to us.

It can be very difficult to know that someone that you care about is hurt. If you are worried about a friend or someone you know that is being abused, you have the right to get help and support. If you are not comfortable talking to someone you know about it, you can contact Childline or Teentxt to chat about what is going on.
