I want to wear a cat costume 24/7. I think there’s something wrong with me because that isn’t normal. I want to dress as a cat all the time but I feel I would be mocked for doing so. I’d also like to dress as a mouse in town a lot too etc. I think there’s something wrong with me? Is there something wrong with me?
Hello you are very welcome to Ask Pat,
Thank you so much for trusting us with your thoughts. We know that it can be difficult, but it’s a great thing for young people to share their problems here. Talking about what is going on for you is a big step forward.
You say that you want to wear a cat costume 24/7 and you would like to wear a mouse costume also, but you are afraid of being mocked. Maybe there is a reason you have this desire to dress as a cat or mouse, maybe it is your way of expressing yourself. Many people like to dress creatively. Perhaps it could be an idea to start off small if you are worried you might be mocked. You might introduce cat print to your choices of outfits or you could source accessories or even socks that have something that resembles a mouse on them so you always have a part of you expressing your creative side.
With Halloween around the corner, the upcoming season is a perfect time to further explore your imaginative outfits and have a little fun doing so.
