I want to kill myself every night

Hi, you are very welcome to Ask Pat.
You are saying that you feel even though your life is perfect, every night you want to kill yourself. It seems like you have put a lot of thought into your feelings and have established that they arise at night. Your awareness of this is a great starting point for you.
Our feelings and thoughts are very important but how we manage those thoughts and feelings is important as well. Reaching out to us at Ask Pat is a positive thing that you have done. We are wondering if you have a trusted adult in your life that you could share your feelings with. That adult could be a parent, a relative or a sports coach. Sometimes talking to someone can really help share the worries. You have the right to get help and support around the feelings you are having about killing yourself.
We are concerned to hear that you have suicidal thoughts at night. There are services available to give you support and advice around suicidal ideation. www.yourmentalhealth.ie and www.pieta.ie are two websites where you can find some guidance and help. The Childline website also has some articles where you may find some help too www.childldine.ie/how-i-feel.ie You may need to talk to a professional like a doctor or a counsellor. You have the right to this help, even if you think your life is perfect.
