Hello there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. It sounds like you’re feeling a bit frustrated and confused right now, and that’s totally understandable. Losing your football over the fence can be a real bummer, especially when you’re excited to play. Let’s talk about what you can do next.

Firstly, we’re not sure who ‘the bot’ is that you mentioned, but it’s possible there was a problem with their system or they weren’t able to help in that moment. Sometimes technology doesn’t work the way we want it to, and it can feel like we’re being ignored, even when that’s not the case.

One thing you can do is ask your mum to help you talk to your neighbors. She can go with you to their house and explain what happened. Most people understand that accidents happen, and they might be happy to give your football back. If that’s not possible, you can always ask your mum for a new football, explaining what happened and why you need another one.

Remember, if you ever need someone to talk to about anything, you can always contact us at Childline by freephone 1800 66 66 66 or Messenger at (just click on the purple chat icon). Our team of humans is here to listen to you, confidentially and without judgment, 24/7. Whether you need advice, a friendly chat, or just someone to listen, we’re here for you anytime, for any reason.

Take care, and we hope you get your football back soon!
