Fell out with a friend

Your Question

Hi pat There’s this girl that I’ve been friends with for years, we’ve been through everything together, I basically lived in her house or vice-versa but recently we fell out over something stupid and she’s blown it way out of proportion, but now she won’t leave me alone, she keeps ringing me when she’s with her other friends and threatening me and calling me names and she’s started throwing things at my house and getting people after me and I honestly don’t know what to do

Answer

Hi and welcome to Ask Pat,

It sounds like you and your friend were very close and it can be tough when relationships like that break down.

It is concerning to hear that your friend has began to negatively affect your life the way she has. You have every right to be safe from violence, threats, insults and intimidation. You also have a right to talk to a trusted adult about what’s been happening and how it is making you feel.
