Hello, you are very welcome to Ask Pat. 

Does time really heal is a very interesting question. 

Would we be right in thinking that maybe you or a friend have gone through something and you are being told that time will heal things? 

We are sorry if you have experienced something bad or difficult and we would like to support you more. You are very courageous in contacting us and we want you to know that your feelings and thoughts are very valid to you. You have the right to get the help and support that you may need. 

These supports come in a variety of forms: family; friends; support groups; websites; doctors; counsellors to name but a few. If you would like to get in touch with Childline, tell them what is going on for you and then explore together what options of supports may be available to you. 

Childline are focused on you and what is important to you. The space is yours to talk about whatever is going on. You will not be judged for anything you say and everything that you wish to share will be listened to. The services are free and are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.  You can get in touch by phone on 1800 66 66 66, by text at 50101 or by web chat which you access through the website www.childline.ie. On the website there are lots of articles which could help you also.
