First of all it is important to understand that no-one has the right to hit you, you have the right to be safe and it is totally understandable that you do not like him hitting you.

Your Dad has a responsibility towards you, and that is to keep you safe and cared for.

You also mention that your Dad is an alcoholic and Childline understands that that is a difficult situation for you to be in. your Dad also has a right to get help for his alcoholism.
