What is Grief?

When someone we love dies, we might feel sad that the person will no longer be around to talk to or to have fun with. Everyone grieves differently after losing a loved one.
You might be feeling sad but you also may not feel anything at all. You may feel like crying and that's ok. You might feel lonely or you might even feel angry at the people around you or the person that died.
We all need to mourn, or grieve after losing people and animals and other things we love. But after a while, that first intense pain usually goes away. It takes time, but it can hurt less and less each day. It doesn't mean we forget or stop missing people who died but it does mean that after a while, we can go back to our lives, still loving them and remembering them.
