Email

Emailing can be a great way of keeping in touch with friends and family. But it is also important to keep yourself safe while sending emails. Always be aware of who you give your email address to and where you use it on the internet.  Sometimes we can receive unwanted emails from people or internet sites. If this happens you can do a few things.  You can talk to an adult you trust about what’s going on and you can report spam or junk mail to your email provider.

It’s important that you do not reply to any emails when you don’t know who they are from and never send information about yourself to someone that you don’t know.

Sometimes bullying can also happen by email. It is important to remember that it is not your fault if you receive bullying emails. Nobody has the right to send you emails that make you feel upset or uncomfortable. You should always save any emails that you receive so that you can show them to trust and get help and support. You have a right to get support and you might feel comfortable talking to a parent or a teacher. You can also call Childline on 1800 666 666
