The relationships you have with the people you live with can be great - very loving, supportive and comforting. But sometimes this is not the case. Parents can be hurtful to their children, either intentionally or unintentionally. Family member sometimes hurt each other, on purpose or by accident.
If you feel like somone at home is hurting you, or you are feeling bad about the way that they make you feel, then you have the right to talk to a trusted adult or friend to get support and help to keep that from happening again. It’s important to know it’s not your fault and no one should be hurt by another person. You might not be sure about what's going on and you always have the right to talk it over with someone who can listen, believe what you're saying and respect you.
You might be afraid to tell anyone, but it is your right to talk about it and if you want to talk, Childline is a free phone call and we don’t have caller ID.
