No one really knows what happens after we die.  Some people believe a person goes to heaven and other people believe that you are reborn into another life after you die.  There are a lot of different beliefs about what happens when someone dies.  

After someone dies there is usually some kind of celebration or remembrance for the person and the people that knew the person.   Sometimes there is a funeral and a wake.  You might want to ask an adult that you trust what will happen next – they might give you a better idea of what to expect.

It’s important you know that while a lot of people might be really sad that you still have the right to talk to someone about what’s going on.   What happened is not your fault and it may seem really scary, but talking about it might make it easier.
