Hi there,

Welcome back to Childline Online where we will always listen to what you have to say and how you feel.

You are feeling like you don’t care anymore but didn’t say what or who you didn’t care about but you tell us you feel like killing yourself. It’s a concern to read that you are feeling so low and it seems you may be feeling a bit isolated and distressed.

Sometimes feelings can overwhelm us and it can seem that there is no way out. It can be hard to see past this and what we really want can get lost. Reading your message I wonder how you would like your life to be like if you could change it. Also, you haven’t said what has made you feel this way or how long you have felt like this.

Perhaps you would like to talk to us in private where we can support you on a personal level on the One to One from this site or on our free text service Teentxt by sending the word Talk to 50101 after 2pm from Wednesday through to Sunday and after 6pm on Mondays and Tuesdays

There is help available from a variety of sources. I have listed what Childline can do for you. You could also chat to your GP who you can see on your own if you want as you are over 16 and he or she will know what supports are available in your area. There may be a CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) in your area or you could be referred to a local social worker to help you get the support you need at this difficult time.

There is further information on this site under the support tab from the main page and here are some websites that you may find useful:
www.spunout.ie – information and comments on young people’s mental health
www.mentalhealthireland.ie - help and information for anyone
www.jigsaw.ie - organises services to support the well-being of young people

As noted earlier you are welcome to get in touch Childline Online anytime and as often or as little as you want – it’s your service.

Take care,
Childline
