for the whole summer ive been palling with 4 girls and there really popular in my school , but last week one of them was really off and i asked her was she annoyed wit me and she said yehbut she wouldnt tell me why, so when another one of the girls stead in my house i asked her if that girl( girl no.1) was annoyed with me and she said she doesnt like you , so she shoewd me a mail girl no.1 sent her and she was calling me names and saying really bad stuff about me. i was really hurt annd i cryed cause i didnt do anything to her and she just didnt like me cause i was me. then i confronted her and she said i dont like you , and i said why and she said cause yer annoying and a creep. so then girlno.1 start fighting with me and the girl who told me(girl no.2)
so me and girl no.1 werent friends anymore but i thought that was ok since i had 3 other bestfriends. but then this week none of the four girls are replying to my messages and i asked girl no.3 if she hated me and she said no , but i wasnt satisfied so i read girl no.2s mail and it turned out that she was writin to girl no.1 sayin that she only slept in my house cause i kept asking her to and she felt sorry for me. so no one likes me and im really depressed right now and dont know what to do because ill have no friends in school or anything:( i dont know why they did this to me:( what should i do ? i have no friends .

Sounds like you might be going through a difficult time with your friends at the moment. The girls you were palling around with all summer have started to leave you out of things a bit. Childline understands that this must be very hurtful for you, especially when you were spending time with them before. You say that one of these girls was calling you names and saying bad things about you in an email and the girl that showed you the email said she only stayed over as she was sorry for you.
You have the right to be yourself, and you deserve to have friends that treat you properly, and the right to be happy and respected. Also, everyone including young people have a right to privacy in their letters, emails, texts, calls and diary and it’s a concern that you were able to read one of the other girl’s mails. It’s never a good idea to read others mail as you may not be prepared for what you may find and were probably not supposed to know. However you did read it and what you found was very hurtful and it’s understandable that it was.
You seem a bit isolated now and are feeling a bit down as well as a bit worried about what it will be like when you return to school. The situation with the girls has got worse and now some are fighting. It’s understandable that you feel frustrated as well because you did nothing wrong. Sometimes teenage girls can act offish for no reason, but then things can change back again very quickly. September might bring you the chance to make new friends with the people in your class also. It may help to look at the section on friendships on www.spunout.ie for some ideas on making new friends and how you should be treated.
