Childline and Childline Online are open every day. The telephones are open 24 hours a day to every young person living in Ireland. You can write in on our website and leave us a message any time of the day or night and we will respond within 4 days.
If you prefer to text, we also have a mobile phone texting service is open if you text the word "Talk" to 50101, you can talk about anything you like. It's free to text us, but we're only open live at specific hours.

If you're interested in volunteering you have to be 18 years old or over. We have Childline offices all over the country, if you are over 18 and interested, you can ring 01 676 7960.
Here in Childline we try to empower, support, and protect young people like you. Our services are all free and confidential. We never trace calls or emails or texts and we are here for you if you for anything you need to talk about or write in about. Children and teenagers write in about a lot of different things. You don’t have to have a problem to ring or to write in and leave us a message. We’re never going to give out to you or tell you what to do. We help you figure out your own solutions and we’re here to listen.
